  1. Why Soy? 

    Soy Wax is completely natural and burns cooler than paraffin wax, therefore increasing the burning time of your candle. Soy wax is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. Soy wax is an excellent choice for those who wish to burn environmentally friendly candles. Soy wax lends itself to the support of farmers and sustainable agriculture. Soy is a plant, not a man made substance.

  2. What makes a 100% soy wax candle different

    While paraffin wax is refined from crude oil, which is more detrimental to the environment. Soy wax is made from soybeans- a completely renewable resource. Compared to paraffin, soy wax burns cleaner with no petrol-carbon soot. Soy wax also burns longer and cooler than paraffin candles by 30-50%.

  3. Why Does Soy Wax Make A Superior Candle?

    Soy candles release fragrance naturally and for longer. It actually lasts for 25 - 50 % longer than paraffin candles, making them more economical. Soy candles are made from an environmentally friendly, renewable resource. It Is water soluble. You can wash out your jars with hot, soapy water, which means recycled jars can be reused.

  4. What are your candles made of?

    Our candles are made with 100% supernatural soy wax, wooden wicks, and fine fragrance oils. Just wax, wooden wick, and fragrance oil with no other additives or dyes.

  5. Where do you get your ingredients?

    We source all of our ingredients from the USA and hand-poured in Hong Kong.

  6. Why is there a black residue around the vessel?

    Prior lighting your candle and in-between burns, ensure the wooden wick is no longer than 5 mm in length, untrimmed wicks will cause smoke and darken the inside of yourvessel. If there is black residue on the inside of your candle jar, dampen paper towel, wipe clean and throw out used paper towel.

  7. Why does my candle look like it has wet spots or is frosty?

    These are NOT flaws in the candles but natural characteristics of pure soy wax and is actually a testament to the lack of paraffin and preservatives in soy candles. Neither of these characteristics, in any way, will affect the scent throw or burning properties of the candles.

  8. What type of wicks do you use?

    Our wicks are eco-friendly and clean-burning which made from FSC Certified Wood, hand-crafted and made in the USA.

  9. Should I trim the wick after burning?

    The simple answer is yes. After the candle has cooled down,  please trim your wick to about 5 mm. The wooden wick burns best with frequent attention to keeping your wick to the right length. Burn times will be increased with proper care.

  10. Can I reuse my candle glass?

    Yes, you can reuse your vessel. Clean the vessel by using hot, soapy water. Please remember DO NOT pour liquid wax down your drains. The wax will solidify in the pipes and clog your sink.

  11. Can I refill with my candle vessel?

    Once your tulp candle has been used, you may send your vessel to our studio for refill. It may takes more than 10 days to refill.

  12. Do you wholesale candles or can I become one of the tulp retailers?
